The beast of all beasts! The Pentax 6x7 MLU is the second generation Pentax 6x7 with the MLU (mirror lock-up mechanism) produced from 1976. This is a medium format camera using 120 film with 6x7 negatives. You can also use 220 film if you can find it! This model comes with the TTL prism which has a built in light meter (fully functional) other prisms can be brought such as the standard prsim and chimney prism. NOTE there is a certain order the lens and prism needs to be removed so you don't damage the camera chain link between the prism and lens!
This is not for a beginner photographer. This is for a serious film shooter looking to tap into one of the best medium format cameras ever made!
The camera itself is in pretty amazing condition with almost no brassing or scratches. The shutter speeds are all fully functional everything on this camera is working perfectly. The light seals have been replaced. This camera is good to go for a long time just look after the new beast!
Comes with the 75mm F4.5 lens which is around a 40mm equivalent in 35mm terms. A great starting lens for this camera is perfect for portraits and landscapes as well covers all the bases. There is no mark or fungus on the lens.
The camera has been film tested 2 in the last 2 weeks (12/09/21)
First with kodak porta 400
Second with Kodak Ektar 100
There were no issues with film spacing and got 10 shots both times
This is one of my personal favorite cameras of all time
They don't pop up very often in this condition so you don't want to miss out on this one!!
